Iran ‘Muhammad (PBUH): the Messenger of God’ to hit Iraq cinemas

Iranian blockbuster ‘Muhammad (PBUH): the Messenger of God’ is to be screened in Karbala cinemas in Iraq.

Directed by Majid Majidi, the movie portrays the life of Islam’s Holy Prophet and narrates the early years of his prophecy in Mecca. This is the first part of a trilogy which seems to cover the whole life of the Prophet.

A number of internationally-acclaimed professionals, including Academy Award winning visual effects supervisor and filmmaker, Scott E. Anderson, and three-time Oscar-winning Italian director of photography, Vittorio Storaro, collaborated in the making of the film.

The movie attracted a large number of audiences during its screening in Iranian cinemas.

Internationally appreciated film producer, director and screenwriter, Majid Majidi, has touched on many themes and genres and has received several international awards.
